Even ELI
1Sa 1:17 Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant [thee] thy petition that thou hast asked of him.
1Sa 1:18 And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.
This was a story of Hannah and Eli. She had prayed with sorrowful heart and there seems to be a hard future ahead. She prayed util this point when Eli told here that “God of Israel will grant her petition”.
But Eli was a man who had darkened spiritual eyes. His eyes were dimmed and his vision blurred. He could not pray for his two boys who had became temple troublers. He could not command respect in his house neither from the temple worshipers yet he had this to say. Was answer to Hannah as a result of Eli’s experience or his prayers? No sir. God only answer this prayer in order to honour his words.
If Eli had a prayer answering ministry, God will always honour his words, we just need to proclaim it without fear of favour.
